Ultrasonic converter

mth supplies ultrasonic converters for the common frequencies 20 kHz, 30 kHz, 35 kHz and 40 kHz. The ultrasonic converter or transducer converts the high-frequency alternating current of the ultrasonic generator into mechanical vibrations with amplitudes of approx. 5-12 µm.

We develop and manufacture customised versions on request. Further information under customised ultrasonic solutions »

Integrating ultrasonic converters into machines

For easy integration into welding machines, our 35 kHz and 40 kHz converters are either equipped with a PG29 screw connection or as a “D” type with a clamping flange and the corresponding counterparts. We have described how you can use the converters in your systems in a video. As standard, the converters have a BNC connection and an M8 thread for sonotrode attachment. Special versions with HV-BNC connection or LEMO connector are available on request.

CAD files and dimension sheets

STEP files for the converters and connection components are available on the respective product page or can be made available to you at short notice on request.

Replacement and repair service

The vibrating components of an ultrasonic converter move up to 40,000 times per second. Despite careful design and assembly, the components are subject to wear. mth offers a repair or replacement service for both its own and third-party products so that your machine can resume production quickly. This applies in particular to ultrasonic converters from Herfurth, Lühr and FIT, which we can replace at short notice.

Ultrasonic
generators

Energy-efficient welding

All generators have standard functions for time-controlled and energy-controlled welding. With time-controlled welding, the ultrasonic output is automatically stopped after the preset time and the energy output is displayed.

Ultrasonic
booster

Our ultrasonic boosters

The ultrasonic boosters (amplitude transformers) regulate the input amplitude at the sonotrode using a transmission ratio of usually 1:1 to around 1:3. Our boosters are available for 20 kHz, 22 kHz, 30 kHz, 35 kHz and 40 kHz.

Various
sonotrodes

Energy-efficient welding

For more than two decades, we have been manufacturing sonotrodes in-house for various ultrasonic systems from different manufacturers suitable for common applications such as welding, cut-off welding, riveting, embossing, punching and cutting.
